Which Oil Is Best for Hair Fall? Onion, Argan, and the Case for Keeping It Simple

Which Oil Is Best for Hair Fall? Onion, Argan, and the Case for Keeping It Simple

Walk into any store in Pakistan right now and the hair oil shelf is full. Onion oil with a bright label. Argan oil from Morocco. Big bottles that list twenty five herbs on the back. Every one of them says it stops hair fall. They cannot all be the best, so here is how we think about it.

Onion Oil Is Everywhere Right Now

Onion oil has taken over the shelf and the reels. It is sold mostly on its sulfur content, with the idea that sulfur supports the hair structure and the scalp. Some people do like it. The honest catch is the smell, which is strong and hard to wash out, and a fair number of people find raw onion extract irritating on the scalp. If you have used it for a month with no change, that is worth knowing before you buy a third bottle.

Argan Oil Is Built for Shine, Not for Shedding

Argan oil is a good finishing oil. It smooths frizz, adds shine, and softens dry ends, which is why it sits in so many hair care ranges. What it is not really built for is the reason most people are shedding, which is weak roots and a scalp that is not getting enough circulation. Argan oil mostly stays on the length of the hair, not in the follicle. Use it on the ends if you like the feel. Do not expect it to hold your hair in.

Why a Simple Blend Can Do More Than a Bottle of Twenty Five Herbs

A long ingredient list looks reassuring. In practice, the more things are packed into one bottle, the less of each one is actually in there, and the harder it is to tell what your scalp is reacting to. Our Herbal Hair Oil is four ingredients doing clear jobs. Mustard oil to support growth and bring blood flow to the scalp. Castor oil to strengthen the roots. Coconut oil to carry it all in and calm the scalp. Black seeds for the scalp itself. That is the whole recipe, and it is one Pakistani households have used for generations.

What to Actually Expect, and by When

No oil works if it sits in the cupboard. Massage it into the scalp and roots, leave it two to three hours or overnight, and wash it out with a mild shampoo, three to four times a week. Warm it slightly first so it absorbs better.

With regular use we genuinely see about a 50 percent drop in hair fall by week four, and new growth coming through at around week seven. That is the real timeline, not a same day promise. One customer, Sara from Karachi, told us her hair fall stopped in three weeks after years of losing more than fifty hairs a day, and that she now sees new growth coming in.

The other honest point is price. Our Hair Oil is 500 rupees for 100 ML, which is roughly a third of what the popular herbal hair oils on the shelf cost, since most of them run past 1,500. There is no factory and no marketing budget baked into the price.

If your hair fall is sudden, patchy, or tied to a health change, see a doctor first. For the everyday kind, most of the way back is consistent care over three to four weeks and a formula simple enough to trust. Have a look at the RYP Herbal Hair Oil if you want to try the simple route.
